2012-2018 models require exhaust modifications to clear the front driveshaft SKU: 1030. If using stock wheels 1.5in wheel spacers are required. On Automatic equipped vehicles due to use of an oversize driveshaft from the factory and inadequate factory clearance it may be possible for the front driveshaft to come in contact with the automatic transmission pan tearing the factory boot and rubbing on the shaft. Generally this occurs during heavy articulation when front sway bar links are disconnected and longer shocks are installed. If this is found to occur the proper procedure would be to replace the oversize factory shaft with an aftermarket smaller diameter shaft to increase clearance between the transmission and front driveshaft. Rough Country 68130 is a 4-inch lift kit for 2007–2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited models, shipped as a 681 kit box plus a matching N3 shock box. It does not fit 2-door Wranglers. Running the factory wheels calls for 1.5in wheel spacers, and 2012-2018 vehicles need exhaust modification to clear the front driveshaft.
This 4-inch lift kit for the 2007–2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited bolts on with no cutting and opens up room for tires up to 35-inch. Rear coil correction plates reset the coil spring angle by 10 degrees to keep the rear geometry in line at the new ride height. Two-door Wranglers are outside the fitment. Automatic-equipped Jeeps can see the factory oversize front driveshaft contact the transmission pan under heavy articulation with the sway bar links disconnected; a smaller-diameter aftermarket shaft resolves it.
