Lifting a truck steepens the driveshaft angle, and a factory shaft at that angle sets up a vibration you feel through the floor. Collapsed length is 38.25 inches and extended is 39.75 inches. Does not fit diesel models.
Past a certain lift height the factory driveshaft is being asked to work at an angle its U-joints cannot smooth out, and the result is a vibration that gets worse with speed. A CV shaft splits that angle across two joints instead of one. This one measures 38.25 inches collapsed and 39.75 inches extended, uses higher-grade CV joints, and Rough Country rates the shaft at twice the strength of the factory part. For 4.5in - 6in of lift, gas models only.
